TapeSail is a pocket audio recorder and editor for voice notes, interviews, rehearsals and everyday sound. Record or import audio, make precise edits, and save a new copy while keeping your original.
RECORD YOUR WAY
• Record in WAV or AAC, with pause and resume.
• Continue an active recording in the background with Android notification controls.
• Choose recording quality and see live input levels. Recording length depends on available device storage.
EDIT AND COMPARE
• Trim with a waveform, adjust volume, and add fades.
• Compare Original and Edited audio before saving.
• Undo changes and return to saved edit drafts.
ORGANISE AND EXPORT
• Search, sort and rename your recordings.
• Import audio from the system file picker or open audio shared from another app. Format support depends on your device.
• Share audio or save WAV and AAC copies to a destination you choose.
• Move recordings to Trash, restore them, or delete them permanently.
OPTIONAL PRO TOOLS
A one-time in-app purchase unlocks advanced effects, pitch and tempo tools, voice presets, balance, repeat, and merging or mixing recordings. Preview effects before upgrading. The store shows the current local price.
YOUR LIBRARY STAYS LOCAL
Recording and editing take place on your device. TapeSail has no app account or app-managed cloud sync. Export important recordings yourself: uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes the local library. Google Play handles purchases and automatically processes billing-service diagnostics as described in our privacy policy.
Choose light, dark or system appearance. Available in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, German and French.
TapeSail is a separate app from Audio Recorder & Editor. Files can be imported when you choose them; purchases from the older app do not transfer.
