About this app

The TacoMac Brewniversity program is our way of showcasing the enormous selection and wide variety of craft, domestic and imported beers that have made TacoMac restaurants famous while having some fun along the way. As you climb the collegiate ladder of beer, you earn credit for each different brew that you purchase. The rewards start after you purchase your 13th unique beer and can continue for the rest of your Brewniversity career.

After working fine for many years, there is some update in Android that causes the app to crash all the time. Well, if you reboot your device and immediately use the app it works. once. then it crashes every time on my Pixel 8. I submitted a adb logcat output of the crash, but haven't heard anything back to know if a fix is in the works or not.

I'm an Android user (Pixel 7) and for the last several months the app crashes if I try to do anything beyond checking in. I have been in touch with Taco Mac corporate and they acknowledged the problem and stated they "are working on it". My wife also uses the app (Pixel 8 Pro), and it worked fine until last week. Now it crashes just like mine. For years, this was a very useful app, and now the process of choosing a beer is cumbersome and annoying. I won't be back to Taco Mac until it's fixed.

So there are a plethora of issue with this new app. First, like others have stated it is slow....soooo slow. Second, it doesnt save the last store you went to like the old one so you have to look it up everytime. It seems to default to the store you originally signed up at. Third, it's super annoying getting to your beer list, and once there you have to ALWAYS click "hide my beers". I have more issue but apparently I have reached my character limit.
