About this app

TapTalk is an English speaking practice app. You talk with an AI tutor out loud, the tutor answers, and when the conversation ends you get a look at what to fix. Children, teens and adults each get a screen that fits them.

What you can do

Talk with an AI tutor
- Choose a tutor and a topic or situation, then speak in English.
- Your speech is turned into text with speech recognition, and the tutor's replies are read aloud. Open subtitles when you need them.
- Each tutor has a different speaking style and accent, and you can adjust the speaking speed.
- Record with a button, or switch on automatic turn-taking so the app moves on when you stop speaking.

Corrections and pronunciation practice
- After a conversation, the app points out grammar and expressions, and you can say the corrected sentence again.
- Listen to a sentence from the day and repeat it in a pronunciation practice step.
- Practice saved corrections again in Review, and check expressions collected from your conversations in the vocabulary book.
- If a tutor reply or correction seems inappropriate or wrong, you can report it right in the app. Our team reviews reports.

Ways to practice
- Free conversation: the tutor greets you first, or you can speak first.
- Scenes and daily topics: start from a situation such as ordering at a cafe, or from a news topic.
- Guided practice: get examples and support when you are not sure what to say.
- Speech: practice a longer answer or presentation and get coaching.
- Debate: give reasons and develop your opinion.
- Exam practice: work on speaking questions in the style of English speaking tests.
- 12-week study plan: follow a plan that matches your goal.

Progress and goals
- See your number of conversations, study streak and weekly goal at a glance.
- Reopen records and reports from past conversations.

Learning together as a family
- Create learner profiles and use a child, teen or adult mode that fits the learner's age.
- In child mode, areas for parents such as payment and family management ask for the parent PIN.
- A family pass lets up to 4 people, including you, use the app together.
- Children under 14 need a parent's or guardian's consent.

Getting started
- Sign in with a Google or Kakao account.
- New accounts get a 7-day free trial after signing up (once per account). Nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends.
- To keep using TapTalk after the trial, choose a 30-day or 365-day pass in the app. Passes do not renew automatically.
- The app is available in 10 languages, including Korean and English.

Good to know
- The conversation partner, corrections and feedback are generated by AI and can be wrong. Please use them as a study aid.
- Speaking practice needs microphone permission.
- An internet connection is required.
