About this app

The Longshot app lets you connect to any Longshot or Targetvision camera system and see live video of your target. You can pinch to zoom and swipe to pan to get a close look, use the Blinker Shot Locator to make new shots or groups flash so they’re easier to find, tap on bullet holes to place shot markers (in multiple sizes and colors to track groups or different shooters), measure your group size and get zeroing adjustments, capture screenshots and video of your range session, and even view yourself as an overlay via your device’s rear-facing camera.

The app has been completely rewritten to modern standards, giving a cleaner user interface, significantly higher frame rates, faster camera discovery, support for many cameras at once (more than before), enhanced blinker history, flexible shot marker sizing and removal (you can long-press to remove any marker in any order), audio streaming support for fixed-install systems, and improved gallery, sessions, and support/FAQ features.
Compared to the previous Targetvision app, the LongshotHD app brings major improvements to all Longshot and Targetvision platforms. Among the most notable improvements are:

* The same user interface and feature set across all devices and platforms
* Significantly increased camera frame rates
* Reduced search time to find cameras
* Support for up to 12 cameras connected at once
* Added Shooter View which allows you to see & record yourself as an overlay on the live feed of the target
* Enhanced Blinker Shot Locator feature
* Enhanced Group Sizing and Zero Adjustment features
* Improved gallery functionality and features
* Improved support and FAQ section

I’ve been using the Longshot Camera LR3 for four months, and it’s been a game changer for shooting at 700–1,000 yards. It provides clear shot feedback much faster than a traditional spotting scope, without mirage or glare issues, and helps me quickly adjust my DOPE. For a fraction of the cost of a high-end scope, it often performs even better. The ability to mark shots and save screenshots is a big plus. Overall, it’s an excellent, high-value product and well worth the purchase. A+!!!!!!!

Good camera system with nice features. Allowed my friends and I to see our hits on an IPSC target at 1896 yards with ease. Sometimes it can take a moment for the wifi to hook up to everything but overall not too bad. I like the ability to mark your impacts and record video of both your target and yourself. If you search my name on YT, you’ll see a video of us using it at 1896 yards. I would recommend this to guys who need to spot their impacts at further distances.

What’s new

In this release, we've resolved the "Ghost" camera issue and updated the Feed screen to show the full range of available cameras. We have also added audio support for live streams. Additionally, camera IP addresses have been removed from both the camera settings sheet and the camera list tab in the Feed screen.

Thanks for staying with Longshot.
