The TARIC mobile app, provides production tips information to farmers and offers them an opportunity to interact with TAHA’s extension service experts, so as to boost their productivity in horticultural crops production; TARIC provides real-time market prices for twenty different markets and has contacts for more than 400 traders and dome transporters to farmers, the aim is to increase profitability to farmers by sharing high quality market information. Further TARIC offers contacts for agrodealers across the country, so that farmers can easily access production inputs.
TARIC mobile app offers nutritional information, to inform the general public on the important aspects regarding their health and the health for their loved ones, it provides tips such as meal plans, BMI calculator and nutrition tips from different horticultural crops.
TARIC mobile app offers Food safety and standards tips targeting farmers, traders and consumers, to make them aware of handling, transporting, storing and managing horticultural crops from the farm to the market, the goal here is to reduce high post-harvest losses in these commodities, while assuring the health of the consumers.
TARIC mobile app offers Business Development Services tips, targeting farmers and traders in the horticulture value-chain. The goal of providing such tips is to enhance their financial and entrepreneurial skills, which will help them manage and grow their businesses.
TARIC mobile app contains written information, videos and audios in both English and Swahili language for all actors to easily access and understand. The app includes a calendar, so as to inform the actors about important events, it has a news feature as well as archive and notification feature.
To use TARIC mobile, you will be required to set up an account with your email or phone number, this information will be tied to your user profile so that TARIC team can easily identify you once to interact with them, your profile details will only be visible to you and to TARIC technical team. You are required to have an active internet service for the app to function effectively.
