Developed by TASS, the Staff Orbit app is designed to allow staff at schools to access important information, keep track of student attendance and wellbeing and action tasks.

The app is connected to your school system and some of the features include:

Roll Call

Mark attendance for class roll call or ad-hoc rolls such as extra curricular and excursions/events.

Leave & Substitutions

Submit leave to be approved. Plus, for teaching staff, view substitutions taking your classes or see where you’re substituting a class.

Students

Access student information including general students, pastoral care, alerts, notes and medical information.

Calendars and Notices

View the School Calendar, eDiaries for yourself and students and Daily Notices to ensure you’re up-to-date with all school events, appointments, parent teacher interviews, curricular activities and more.

Events

View details and accepted students of upcoming approval school events.

Pastoral Care

Enter pastoral care records for students.

Notifications

View and acknowledge targeted notifications including a history and ability to search. Plus, send targeted notifications to parents and students.

Branded

The app will be branded to match your schools identity.

What’s new

New: send a notification or SMS to a student and/or their parents directly from the student's profile
Fixed: a signed-out session could leave the app open but showing no data.
Fixed: after switching schools, student profile tiles (such as Milestones and Communications) now match the school you've switched to
Improved: Communications now lists conversations with the most recent replies first.
