📊 What is a Near-Earth Object (NEO)?

Near-Earth Objects are asteroids and comets that orbit within 1.3 AU of the Sun. NASA tracks thousands of these objects daily. Some are classified as Potentially Hazardous Asteroids (PHAs) if they pass within 0.05 AU of Earth.

🛡️ What is NASA Sentry?

Sentry is NASA's automated collision monitoring system. It continuously scans asteroid trajectories to identify objects that could impact Earth in the next 100 years.

It is a huge huge issue that they took the real asteroid tracker app off of the Google Play store don't know what happened to it but it gave people like me citizen scientists raw data that they could use to bring understanding to the people around them I believe it's an assault on our human intelligence that it's gone I wish that Google's AI would do something to bring it back

Good app for people who want to know how many asteroids are orbital with earth and are getting ready to cause destruction to earth, hopefully more large asteroids fly around in direction with earth. It allows people to know of asteroids before NASA find out, I find that amazing, thank you to the developers for making it only available for android. #Privileged
