There is a reason why this app has such low reviews about connecting/pairing. Regardless, I was hopeful about getting my light bulbs to connect. I tried all 3 different ways to connect. My issue was that regardless of how slow/fast or how many times I turned my lightswitch on/off, the bulbs would not "blink" to show they were ready to pair. After 15 minutes of trying, I thought it my obligated duty to state that they work fine as a regular lighbulb, but DO NOT get them for their smart ability!!!

I see other users complaining about needing bluetooth and location data, that's not the fault of the app, that's Android security settings. Device discovery over bluetooth isn't possible without these. I bought the 2kw downflow heater and it works great, it took me a little while to figure out how to enable schedules but otherwise it's really easy to use. Having a phone app to turn the heater on or check the room tempature is nice, and the option to create a shortcut icon is great.

Why do I have to sign in to use the app, obviously trying to get more information from us. Zero stars, even though you have to leave at least 1. Bulbs which have previously worked, now won't connect and will not sync. Final joke, set up to try a scan and it tells me my device, a smart bulb, is a portable air conditioning device. TCP developers fix these problems. Do I expect anything to happen, no, obviously I have purchased the bulbs which is all they care about.
