About this app

Make random teams for a game, split a class into groups, or get your regular players ready for another round. Team Divider lets you add names, choose your team sizes, make a few changes and share the lineup from one place.

Use it for football, futsal, basketball, volleyball, doubles, board games, classroom activities and group events. Start with a random draw, or add skill ratings when you want closer matches.

Start with the people who are here
Type names one by one, paste a list from your group chat, or paste spreadsheet rows with ratings, roles and attendance. Save time when you already have the list somewhere else. People with the same name remain separate players.

Choose the number of teams or the number of people per team. For example, divide twelve players into three teams, or set up pairs for a doubles session. When the numbers are uneven, Team Divider shows the resulting sizes so you can decide what works for your group.

Make a draw that fits your group
Choose Random for a fresh draw, or Skill balanced to use your player ratings. Add roles to help spread goalkeepers, defenders or other positions across the teams. Set captains, keep selected people together, or keep a pair apart.

Check the team averages and role counts in Compare before you settle on the draw. Balancing aims for a closer match; it cannot promise identical teams. Your rules and locks take priority. If a combination is impossible, the app explains what needs attention.

Change a few players without starting again
See the teams together on one board. Tap two players to swap them, drag a player, or use the move controls. Keep a player or a whole team in place with a lock, then shuffle the rest. Undo a change when you want the previous lineup back.

Give each team a name and color that your group will recognize. Keep the team sheet useful whether you are organizing a small game or a larger class.

Someone arrived late or needs to leave? Add them to the session or mark them as sitting out. Preview the updated teams before applying the change. Keep teams close to their current lineup, or rebalance the unlocked players. You can undo the change if you need the previous result.

Keep your regulars ready
Save a roster for each group you organize: Friday football, your class or the people coming to game night. Keep favorites close, search for a name and mark who is sitting out today without removing them from the roster.

Your recent team results are there when you need them. Export a backup to keep a copy of your rosters and history, or import a backup when moving to another device.

Plan the next rounds
Prepare 2–12 rounds and move through them as you play. Save up to five plans so the next round is ready when you are. Share one round or the whole plan.

Mark rounds finished as you go. Reopen the plan where you left it, with your completed rounds still marked.

Use recent-teammate rotation to encourage different combinations. Rotation is a preference, so repeated teammates can still be necessary when your group is small or your rules leave fewer choices.

Pick who's up next
Need a captain, a volunteer or someone to take the next turn? Pick one person or several from those present. Picked people stay out of the pool until you reset it, including after you close and reopen the app. You can make the selected players captains with a tap.

Show the teams and get going
Open presentation mode for a board with larger names. Copy the lineup, share it as text, or send a light or dark team-sheet image through your phone's share menu. Longer team sheets continue onto extra pages. Skill ratings stay out of presentation mode and shared sheets.

Team Divider supports 2–500 players and up to 64 teams, with no daily limit on creating teams. The app includes ads. An optional rewarded ad gives you a break from ads; you can use every feature without choosing that option.
