Ratings and reviews

Does this app give notifications that pop up in the status bar? I don't see any setting to turn notifications on or off in the app or in the Android app info settings. But the description says it gives latest NWS alerts. I need alerts from NOAA & NWS. I don't want too download a 2nd app to do so. I like this NOAA radar but that's all it is literally.

Not as good as many other weather apps. Fewer features than my local TV channel's app.

Not very intuitive I have two other weather apps that are more acetate where I'm looking and seeing the area I'm at.
