About this game

A hundred years ago the Abyss opened beneath the kingdom of Valdren. What it swallowed came back changed.

You are one of the Amberborn: you returned with an amber core in your chest and only pieces of who you were. Dive into the ruins, farm gear that changes how you fight, and find out who brought you back, and why.

FOUR HEROES
• Vigil, a living suit of armor with shield and mace
• Ash, a half-demon swordsman
• Fenn, a wolf archer
• Seris, a crystal mage
Each has their own skills, story and reason to go down into the Abyss.

MOVE, AUTO-ATTACK, CAST
• Move with the joystick and your basic attacks fire on their own
• Skills are in your hands: bash enemies off ledges, stun a whole pack, read a boss's wind-up and step aside

HAND-MADE DUNGEONS
• Four regions: the Abyssal Ruins, the Fungal Caves, the Lava Mines and the Frost Spire
• 24 dungeons, each ending in a boss, with branching paths, side rooms and hazards like darkness, cliffs and collapsing floors
• Climb from Normal to Nightmare to Abyss, then push deeper into the endless, ever-changing Abyss Rift

LOOT THAT CHANGES YOUR BUILD
• Magic, Rare and Legendary gear across nine equipment slots
• Legendary aspects change how a skill or a resource works
• Runes drop in Nightmare and Abyss: socket them and complete runewords
• Upgrade, reroll and salvage your gear at Brann's forge

YOUR CORE AWAKENS
• Grow from level 1 to 99
• Amber Awakening at level 10: your body glows with amber and a fourth skill unlocks
• Skill upgrades at levels 20, 30 and 40
• From level 50, be reborn in amber: choose one of two paths for your hero, take a new body and new skills, and climb again from level 1 with all your gear

EMBERREST
A refuge town on the edge of the ruins. Orren the Lanternkeeper and the townsfolk hand out quests and bounties, and every region you clear brings back another piece of the story.

FAIR BY DESIGN
• No gacha and no pay-to-win. We don't sell gear, gold or loot boxes
• Purchases are cosmetics and convenience: auras, a starter pack, rewards without ads and stat reset tickets
• Ads are rewarded only, and you always choose when to watch one
• Plays fully offline. Your progress is backed up when you're online, and linking your Google account lets you carry it to a new phone
