Measurely turns your phone into measuring instruments: a sound level meter with noise reports, a bubble level, compass, lux meter, vibration meter, barometer and more. Every reading says whether it is measured or estimated, every tool can be calibrated, and any live reading can be recorded.
SOUND LEVEL METER
• Big dial with the sound level as a dB estimate and the exact digital level (dBFS)
• A, C and Z weighting; Fast, Slow and Impulse response
• Min, average, max and peak, plus Leq, L10, L50 and L90
• Everyday reference scale and a warning when a sound is too loud for your phone's microphone
• Record a noise session with a timeline, events above your threshold and notes
• Noise report as PDF and CSV with date, times, levels, events, method and an accuracy statement
• Spectrum analyzer with peak frequency, and a spectrogram
• Tone generator: sine, square, triangle, sweep, white and pink noise, left or right channel
LEVEL, ANGLE AND DIRECTION
• Bubble level for surfaces and edges, in degrees, %, mm per m or roof pitch, with two-point calibration per side
• Inclinometer with an optional camera sight
• Protractor with touch arms, angle snap and a plumb bob
• Compass with magnetic and true north (offline magnetic model for the city or coordinates you choose), accuracy indicator, interference warning and bearing lock
• Sun and moon: position, sunrise, sunset, golden hour and the sun's path, calculated offline
LENGTH AND LIGHT
• Ruler and caliper in mm and inches, calibrated with a bank card, coin or A4 sheet, plus a slide mode
• Lux meter in lux and foot-candles with min, average, max, a chart and typical lighting levels
• Plant light: PPFD and daily light integral estimates by light type
• Photo exposure: EV and an aperture, shutter and ISO calculator
MAGNETIC FIELD, VIBRATION AND MOTION
• Magnetic field in µT with a baseline and a rising tone, to find iron and steel such as screws, nails and pipes close to the phone
• Vibration meter: peak and RMS acceleration, dominant frequency, a seismograph trace and an alarm threshold
• G-force meter with peak hold
AIR
• Barometer in hPa, inHg or mmHg with the trend while you measure
• Barometric altimeter estimate, set with a pressure value or a known altitude, plus a relative mode for height changes
• Humidity and air temperature on the few phones that have those sensors
RECORD, HISTORY AND CALIBRATION
• Record any live tool while the app is open; the screen stays on
• History with charts, notes, rename and delete
• Export sessions as CSV or JSON
• One calibration centre for sound, ruler, level, lux and altimeter, with guided steps and the date of each calibration
• Sensor check: which tools your phone supports and how its sensors perform
WIDGETS AND SHORTCUTS
• Widgets for the last sound level, the barometer and today's sun times
• Quick Settings tiles and app shortcuts for the sound meter, level and compass
HONEST BY DESIGN
• Values are labelled as measured or estimated, and missing sensors are named, never faked
• Phone microphones are not certified sound level meters: sound levels are estimates, and calibration brings them closer
• The magnetic field tool reacts to iron, steel and magnets; it cannot find gold, silver, copper or aluminium
• No earthquake magnitude claims and no thermometer on phones without an air temperature sensor
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-up, no location access
• Microphone sound is analysed on your phone and never recorded, saved or sent; only the numbers you record are kept
• Your sessions stay on your phone
• No ads
PERMISSIONS
• Microphone: for the sound tools, asked the first time you open them
• Camera: only for the inclinometer's camera sight, if you use it
Light and dark themes, 18 languages, tablets. Works offline.
