About this app
Make a drumless version of any song on your phone, or pull out just the drums to study the part. Then play the kit part yourself instead of fighting the recorded drummer.
No account, no song limit, and nothing uploads.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick a song you have on your phone. MP3, M4A, FLAC, WAV and OGG all work.
2. DrumFade splits the drums from the music right on the device. Start it, go warm up, come back. Each song only needs processing once.
3. Play along. A live drums fader slides from the full mix down to fully drumless while the song plays. Flip on Drums only to hear exactly what the drummer played.
4. Export. Save or share the drumless track, the drums-only track and, with Pro, the click track, as WAV or M4A, and use them in any player or practice app.
REMOVING DRUMS IS FREE
No account, no trial, no song limit. The processing runs on your own phone, so each song costs nothing to run.
CLICK TRACK (PRO)
Most records you practice to were never played to a click, so a metronome fights them. DrumFade builds the click from the drums it just removed, so it follows the drummer on that recording beat for beat. Beat 1 is accented, the sound is claves so it cuts through the mix, and two bars of count-in sit in front of the song. Preview it against the song. If the first read is off, one tap fixes it: offbeat, half or double time, or which beat is 1. Export it mixed with the drumless track and practice to it anywhere. One purchase unlocks it for every song you fade.
NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE
No upload, no servers, no sign in. Your music library is your business. The app does not collect data.
FULL QUALITY IN, LOSSLESS OUT
Your song is never squeezed through an upload. Exports are lossless WAV or high quality M4A.
THE HONEST FINE PRINT
Separation runs on your phone's processor, so it is slower than cloud services: a typical song takes 20 to 30 minutes, and the phone gets warm while it works. Plug in a charger for long songs. Songs are capped at 10 minutes so the app stays within phone memory. One 84 MB model file downloads at first setup, then the app works fully offline. The click track reads the beat from the drums; on songs with very sparse or irregular drumming, use the one-tap fixes.
