Kea turns your phone's spare button into four shortcuts: press once, twice, three times, or hold. Pick from dozens of actions, and see a small confirmation right beside the key every time it fires.

IT LEARNS YOUR BUTTON
Kea learns your key by its hardware fingerprint during a short setup, so there is no supported-phones list to fall off. No spare button? The power button's long press works on any phone, and with Kea Pro the volume keys do too.

PRIVACY, PLAINLY
No accounts, no ads, no analytics or crash-reporting of our own. Kea's AI features run on your phone: what is on your screen, the text Kea reads and your pictures are not sent to us or anywhere else by Kea.

A few things do use the internet, and the privacy policy lists each one:
• Kea Pro purchase check, only if you own Pro: Google Play and our server confirm the purchase
• Downloads of language packs and AI models from Google and GitHub, which you can delete in the app
• Usage diagnostics that Google's ML Kit sends to Google when you use AI features
• Link previews in Kea Board: on by default, off in Board settings. Kea requests each saved link from its website

Kea uses an accessibility service to see your key presses. A few actions also read the screen, only at the moment you trigger them, such as Grab text and Screen translation. Nothing the service reads is logged or sent anywhere. Your settings stay in private app storage, and you can export a backup whenever you like.

BEFORE YOU INSTALL
Kea needs Android 13 or newer. Some banking and payment apps refuse to run while any accessibility service is on, and Kea uses one. That is their policy and no remapper can work around it. If your bank blocks you, switch Kea off in Accessibility, use the bank, then switch it back on. Your bindings are kept.

Awesome app! The setup guide is easy to follow and allows you to disable Essential App using one way or another. Number of re-map options is useful and fair. And I can't thank a lot the author for making the app free and available straight through Play Store. I wish I could donate, but for now sending cloud hugs and handshake

Great app. Works really well. After disabling the Essential Key using USB debugging it's even better. Finally the essential key will be of some use. Just had one question: Will the Essential Space be automatically enabled after installing a System Update ?

the app has a nice clean UI with no lack in functionality. it works well and is cohesive to Nothing OS, almost as if it is a part of it. i had no problems setting up. the customizability is really good. i would appreciate it if a 'IFTTT' option was added too, like to perform an action through the essential key.
