ShotSentry: Shot Timer

About this app

ShotSentry turns your Android phone into an easy-to-use shot timer for range practice. Choose a drill, tap Start, and shoot on the beep. See your first-shot time and splits between detected shots, with no extra timer hardware.

MADE FOR BUSY RANGES
Keep the focus on your string. In Live fire mode, ShotSentry sets aside much quieter detections in a Not counted list. Review them and add a shot back with one tap. Before you shoot, use Check detection to test sensitivity with a clap.

TRAIN YOUR WAY
• Live fire and Dry fire modes, with separate sensitivity settings
• Detect snap-cap and striker clicks during dry fire practice, ignoring holster draws
• Stop at first shot for single-shot draw and press practice
• Open timing or par practice with a second beep
• See late shots after par instead of losing them
• Fixed or random start delays
• Ten built-in drills for a quick start
• First-shot times, splits, and simple corrections
• A distraction-free, full-screen range view
• Light and dark appearance and Android font scaling

SHOTSENTRY PRO
One purchase. No subscription. Unlock:
• Unlimited timed runs
• Your own drill library
• Saved session history and trends by drill
• Separate Live fire and Dry fire history
• Up to 20 automatic par repetitions
• Auto-stop after your last shot
• Personal bests and adaptive par that tightens as you get faster
• Listen-only mode: start on another timer's beep, such as at a match
• String replay: hear each string again and fix shot marks by ear
• Gear tags to compare firearms, holsters and loads in History
• CSV and PDF exports

An Android Pro purchase is separate from an iPhone App Store purchase. Restore Pro using the same Google Play account that made the purchase.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Microphone audio is analyzed live on your phone and never uploaded. If you choose, Pro keeps each string's sound on your phone for replay. No app accounts or advertisements. Training records stay on your device. Google Play handles the optional Pro purchase.

HELP SHAPE SHOTSENTRY
Have a suggestion or a drill you'd like to see? Tap Send Feedback on the About screen.

ShotSentry is a practice tool, not an approved match timer. Wind, echoes, nearby shooters, phone placement, and phone cases can affect detection. Always follow firearm safety rules and your range's rules. For dry fire, unload the firearm, remove live ammunition from the practice area, and follow the firearm manufacturer's guidance.
