About this app

ReHand is a hand rehabilitation companion app that connects therapists and patients in one shared workspace. It helps teams plan rehabilitation sessions, monitor progress over time, and stay organized between appointments.

For therapists, ReHand provides tools to manage patients, schedule sessions, review attendance, and track rehabilitation progress. Therapists can view patient profiles, organize upcoming and completed sessions, manage calendars, and follow hand movement metrics across multiple sessions. The app also supports therapist workflows such as assigning patients, reviewing session requests, sending updates, and managing rehabilitation guidance.

For patients, ReHand makes it easy to stay connected with care. Patients can view their assigned therapist, see upcoming sessions, review past session history, track personal progress, and receive reminders for scheduled rehabilitation activities. The app is designed to help patients stay engaged and informed throughout their rehabilitation journey.

ReHand includes detailed session management features, including session creation, editing, status tracking, favorite locations, calendar views, and progress charts. Hand metrics can be captured and visualized to help users understand movement, improvement, and session performance over time. The app also supports camera-based hand tracking to estimate hand movement metrics during rehabilitation sessions, helping visualize progress in a clear and practical way.

Additional features include role-based accounts, secure sign-in, profile management, optional profile photos, in-app notifications, daily reminders, inbox messages, light and dark theme support, and an About section with app information and open-source licenses.

ReHand was developed as an academic course project to support hand rehabilitation workflows. It is intended to help therapists and patients collaborate more effectively, stay organized, and track rehabilitation progress in a simple, modern mobile experience.
