About this app
TapAndGive allows you to receive contactless payments with minimum supervision, the operator selects the amount and the application will keep the reader receving donations.
It is intended for semi-unattended operation, allowing the customers to tap and pay fixed amount payments while the clerk does other activities. This is ideal for receiving tips and collecting donations. Clerk needs to be near in the event of transaction not been approved as you have to press a key to reset.
You need a Square POS app installed and configured to not print receipt or signature such that the application can run continuously.
Square payment fees apply.
Important: You need to keep the phone and reader connected to power as they will be running all the time.
You will need:
1) Android phone compatible with Square (check Square for supported phones )
2) Square application installed and merchant account activated
3) TapandGive application installed
4) Square contactless reader paired and working
5) Square contactless reader base (optional)
6) USB power supply and cable for Square contactless reader
7) USB power supply and cable for Phone
8) Signage to indicate customers how much is charged
Important: You need to disable square password, receipt and customer signature in order to process contactless payments continuously and with no clerk intervention.
1) Disable Passcode. Go to settings/Security/set enable passcodes off
2) Disable Receipts and signature. Go to settings/Checkout/Signature and receipts/ set to off
1) Configure TapandGive app: Select country/currency that matches your square account
2) Accept terms and conditions and complete registration
