About this app

Goldsmith Calculator does the arithmetic a jeweller does a hundred times a day — turn a weight and a rate into a bill your customer can read.

CHOOSE YOUR REGION
Pick Bangladesh, India, Pakistan or Other when you first open the app, and the units, currency and tax label follow. Change it any time in Settings.

WORK THE WAY YOU ALREADY DO
Enter the weight in the units you use out loud. The app converts to grams for you, never the other way round.

A CLEAN BILL, EVERY TIME
Metal price, making charge and tax, added up the way a paper bill adds up. Making charge can be per unit, a percentage of the metal, or a flat amount. Save a bill to History, or share it as text.

TOOLS AROUND THE MAIN JOB
• Carat rates — know one carat's rate, get the rest by purity, 24K to 10K
• Profit margin — set a margin, or check whether a customer's offer clears your cost
• Unit converter — traditional units to grams and back
• Live market — international spot prices for gold, silver and platinum, per troy ounce, converted to your currency
