About this game

MasterCode is a code breaker logic puzzle: crack the secret color code in 10 attempts, using only the clues from each guess.

HOW TO PLAY
A secret code of colored pegs is hidden at the top of the board. Make a guess, and small key pegs tell you how many of your pegs are the right color in the right place, and how many are the right color in the wrong place — but not which ones. Use every clue to narrow down the code and crack it within 10 attempts. After the first guess, every move can be reasoned out from the clues: a brain game of pure deduction.

MasterCode descends from Bulls & Cows (also known as Cows and Bulls), the pencil-and-paper code-breaking game, and turns it into a color peg board game with a clean, modern design.

THREE LEVELS, EASY TO HARD
• Easy — 4 pegs, 6 colors, each color used only once
• Medium — 4 pegs, 6 colors, colors can repeat
• Hard — 5 pegs, 8 colors, colors can repeat
A different secret code every game, so no two games are alike.

FEATURES
• 10 attempts to crack each code
• Clear clues: a cyan peg for right color, right place; a white ring for right color, wrong place
• Color-blind friendly: peg styles with symbols or numbers, so pegs are easy to tell apart

THE SCIENCE BEHIND IT
Code breaking is pure logical reasoning.
