Still stuck in the scroll loop?
You open Instagram for "just a second" and 45 minutes later you're
watching a stranger organize their fridge. Sound familiar? Clearist makes
the invisible visible: it counts every reel, short, and story you swipe
through, so you finally see the real number.
How it works
Clearist uses Android's AccessibilityService API to detect scroll events on the apps you choose to monitor. This permission is required to count scrolls across apps in real time; without it the core feature cannot function. We don't collect any other info like screen content, messages or any other persona; data .You must manually enable it in Android's Accessibility Settings, the app walks you through this step and explains what it does before asking. Once active, a small floating badge shows your live count. When you hit the daily limit you set, you get a nudge to stop.
No willpower required just awareness.
Set your own stop-point
This is not about going cold turkey. Set 30 reels, 50, or 100, whatever
feels right for your day. Clearist respects your choice and simply reminds
you when you've reached it. You stay in control, not an algorithm.
Focus Mode
Need to study, work, or just be present? Start a focus session and
Clearist will pause distracting apps before they even open. Set a timer
for 15 minutes or 2 hours ,pick what works. When the session ends, your
apps unlock automatically.
See your trends
The Insights tab shows your scrolling patterns over days and weeks. See
which apps eat the most time, spot your peak scrolling hours, and track
whether your daily counts are going up or down. Real data, not guilt, just the numbers to help you make better choices.
Challenge your friends
Share your invite code and compete with friends. Whoever scrolls less,
wins. A little friendly accountability goes a long way.
Built for privacy
Clearist is 100% local-first. There is no account to create, no cloud
sync, and no data leaving your device ever. The app does not read your
messages, capture screenshots, or log what you watch. It only counts
scrolls and tracks which app you're in. That's it.
Why Clearist is different
Most screen-time apps show you a scary weekly report and hope that shame
does the work. It doesn't. Clearist works in real time you see the count
going up as it happens, which changes your behavior in the moment, not
after the fact.
Other apps block everything or nothing. Clearist lets you pick exactly
which apps to monitor and what your personal limit is. It meets you where
you are instead of deciding for you.
