TNAS Mobile is the dedicated mobile application for TerraMaster TNAS devices.

With TNAS Mobile, users can manage files, back up photos, and browse documents remotely from their phone. The app also provides a portable monitoring center to check the status of the TOS system and manage NAS devices anytime and anywhere.

During remote access sessions, TNAS Mobile uses a foreground service to maintain an active network connection between the mobile device and the NAS device. This ensures continuous communication while the user is actively accessing the NAS from external networks.

This persistent network session enables reliable execution of user-initiated tasks such as photo backup and large file transfer, even under unstable network conditions or when the app is running in the background.

When logging into a TOS6 device, TNAS mobile will use VPN connection technology. By enabling the VPN service on your mobile device, a secure, encrypted tunnel is established over the internet, ensuring fast and secure data transmission between you and your TNAS device, thus making the remote access experience smoother and more convenient. TOS7 does not require this service.

Please note that the F2-210 and F4-210 models are currently not compatible with TNAS Mobile version 3. Ratings and reviews

Based on reviews, I didn't think this app was legit. Tried it out, and had no problems. Was able to login to my TNAS (TOS v6.1), tell it to backup my camera photos automatically, but only when connected to wifi, and set what camera folder specifically and where to put them on the NAS. I haven't a need for it to do anything else yet, but for that purpose, it works well and could not have been easier to setup

I expect more from a company that is this known. The indexed photo quality is terrible, blurry and I have to click on view original photo on each one I want a better quality. I would like to just view everything in good quality even if it's not on my phone. Like Google Photos. The cached photo quality when not downloaded is still very good. Also I cannot choose the folder I want the photos to backup to. I select /Media, but then it backs it up in /Media/backup_Phone/Camera for example.

Buggy and unreliable. Constantly "password incorrect" when logging even though it's set to remember me. So I just press login until it seems to remember my password is in fact correct. Remote connection is slow compared to my other nas devices from WD. It's not possible to select content from the gallery and upload, instead you must open the app and navigate to the folder your content is located. Bigger files stall/fail to upload. Support is reponsive but not really helpful.
