TNAS Mobile is the dedicated mobile application for TerraMaster TNAS devices.

With TNAS Mobile, users can manage files, back up photos, and browse documents remotely from their phone. The app also provides a portable monitoring center to check the status of the TOS system and manage NAS devices anytime and anywhere.

During remote access sessions, TNAS Mobile uses a foreground service to maintain an active network connection between the mobile device and the NAS device. This ensures continuous communication while the user is actively accessing the NAS from external networks.

This persistent network session enables reliable execution of user-initiated tasks such as photo backup and large file transfer, even under unstable network conditions or when the app is running in the background.

When logging into a TOS6 device, TNAS mobile will use VPN connection technology. By enabling the VPN service on your mobile device, a secure, encrypted tunnel is established over the internet, ensuring fast and secure data transmission between you and your TNAS device, thus making the remote access experience smoother and more convenient. TOS7 does not require this service.

Please note that the F2-210 and F4-210 models are currently not compatible with TNAS Mobile version 3. I have to agree with everyone else: backward compatibility should be an obvious thing for the app. Since my NAS is still running TOS 5 my phone app will no longer connect. That's not smart from a user perspective. You essentially just locked a bunch of people out of their NAS systems who were connecting with the phone app. Sure I can connect from a computer with no problem, but imagine if I was having my NAS app on the phone backup my phone, which incidentally is exactly what I was doing.

most of the time the drive isn't found. takes many attempts for success. backed up pics are not easy to be seen or organized. it really makes no sense that there is a 3.5 release, but if you want to access the drive you have to use 3.4. then the app auto updates, eventhough it's set not to, and you have to keep uninstalling to keep using you the nas. Just ridiculous.

Based on reviews, I didn't think this app was legit. Tried it out, and had no problems. Was able to login to my TNAS (TOS v6.1), tell it to backup my camera photos automatically, but only when connected to wifi, and set what camera folder specifically and where to put them on the NAS. I haven't a need for it to do anything else yet, but for that purpose, it works well and could not have been easier to setup

What’s new

Version 3.5 is only applicable to TOS 6 / TOS 7. Do not update if using TOS 5 or earlier versions.
1. Added support for adding more images and videos to shares created in Photos.
2. Fixed the issue where Photos shows a white screen for a long time.
3. Fixed abnormal photo loading when clicking preview in Photos.
4. Fixed excessively long preparation time when backing up a large number of photos to the album.
