About this game

Terra Tempus is a daily history game and geography quiz. Read a clue about a real historical event, then guess WHERE it happened — a pin on the world map — and WHEN it happened — a year on a timeline. The closer your pin and your year, the higher your score, up to 10,000 points a round. Then the real place, the real year, and a sourced fact are revealed, and the clue stays on screen so you can learn from it.

Terra Tempus is a history map game for people who love geography games, trivia, and a good "where and when" puzzle. Latin for "land and time" — where + when.

Hand-curated packs that layer onto the base game: the American Civil War (free for everyone), the American Revolution, the French Revolution, the Napoleonic Wars, World War I, and Japan: The Sengoku Era. Same map, same timeline — one subject at a time.

Everything above is free. Pro adds the themed content modules — the American Revolution, the French Revolution, the Napoleonic Wars, World War I, and Japan: The Sengoku Era — plus your full stats: your average miss in kilometers and years, and how often the answers you marked "sure" were actually right. The American Civil War module is free to play. Pro starts with a 14-day free trial; you are not charged until it ends. After the trial it auto-renews monthly or yearly until you cancel in Google Play. The core game stays free.

What’s new

Chronicles: every module is now a playable course. Play its moments in order, four rounds at a sitting, and learn why each one happened where it did. Answer the new one tap probe after you place your pin: prove you know the why, not just the where. The Thread retells your session in order on the results screen, and your accuracy percent now leads the scoring.
