About this app

The purpose of this practice is to encourage the recitation of the tasbih (prayer beads) in its original form (i.e., using Arabic script). Reading with Latin letters inevitably increases the likelihood of errors. For these reasons, it is best to recite these prayers using Arabic script as much as possible. In current practices, booklets, and cards, we see that the tasbih is presented using both Latin and transcription letters. However, we have observed that in these texts, some words that are not originally present in the tasbih inherited from our Master have been added and/or some words that were originally present have been removed. Yet, in the profession and method of our esteemed Master, fidelity is paramount. We wanted to both remain faithful to the original and, at the very least, to show those who cannot read Arabic the difference between Latin and Arabic letters, and to encourage correct recitation by expressing these letters, which are not present in Turkish, using both transcription and the original Arabic script.
