About this game

Tessera is a daily logic puzzle, in the tradition of Japanese classics like Shikaku.

The concept: A grid of several rectangular squares is secretly divided into hidden rectangular zones. Each zone contains a clue that tells you about its size, its shape, or both. Your task is to reconstruct the exact layout: the rectangles must not overlap and must cover the entire grid.

One rule, an infinite number of configurations: No chance, no luck. Tessera is solved entirely through logic. Every day, a new and unique puzzle is generated. Eliminate impossible placements, combine clues, refine your reasoning, and reconstruct the perfect puzzle. All in just a few minutes… or much longer, if you wish.

A challenge that grows with you: The clues vary from one zone to another: some reveal the shape and the number of squares, others only one of the two. The more you play, the better you become at reading the grid at a glance, and the more obvious the patterns seem. Until the day they aren't anymore.
