This App simply allows you to choose two different Wallpapers for your phone - one for the regular "Light" mode and one for Dark Mode. Then every time the System theme changes, so does your Wallpaper - just with certain Wallpapers in iOS13 or iOS14.

The App works by using a customizable a Live-Wallpaper. It also allows you to easily share your Wallpapers from other Apps (like the Gallery) with Darkinator.

Furthermore with you are using an older Android Phone which doesn't support the Dark System Theme in Android 10.0 - no problem. For Android 7,8 and 9 I have created a custom quick settings tile that allows you to enable Darkmode. It even works with certain 3rd party Apps. For Android 6 devices you have the option to Toggle Darkmode with a custom Notification.

Thanks for making this. When the system does a scheduled theme switch, Darkinator often doesn't follow suit. It also doesn't always recover after having been paused by extreme battery saver. I have to manually switch the system theme a couple times to make Darkinator change the wallpaper. Doesn't work at all from the lock screen. I'm on Android 12, Jan. '22., Pixel 4a. It might be useful if there was a way in the app to submit logs or something to see what's going wrong.

Works wonderfully, but I wish it has option to set different images for lock screen as well. Another app has the option but always has trouble with cropping and show the images weirdly on my phone. Darkinator doesn't have that issue and show the selected images perfectly how I want. So I hope lock screen option could be added in the future.

Very simple app. When you change from lights mode to dark mode or vice versa it changes your wallpaper to the wallpapers you decide. Works. Simple to use. Does have ads but no video ones. Meaning you won't be interupted. Also you will probably only enter the app a few times because after you set it up you don't need to open the app again if you don't want to change youre wallpaper. (It can change youre wallpaper without you opening the app. by the way BTW.)
