GlyphRush shows you a target glyph at the top of the screen — an ancient-looking symbol drawn from a pool of Egyptian-style hieroglyphs. A belt of symbols then scrolls continuously from right to left across the middle of the screen. Your job is simple: when the matching glyph reaches the glowing gold tap zone in the centre, tap it. Get it right and a new target appears immediately. Let it scroll past, or tap the wrong symbol, and you lose a life. The belt starts at a comfortable pace but accelerates every five correct taps, and as your score climbs the decoy symbols chosen to fill the belt become visually closer to the target — same category of glyph, subtly different details — so you have to look more carefully while moving faster. A streak multiplier rewards consecutive correct taps up to four times your base score.
