Nimbus is a lightweight, privacy-focused web browser for Android with a built-in basic ad blocker. Search or type any web address, open multiple tabs, and get to your favorite sites in one tap — all inside a clean, night-sky interface.
WHAT NIMBUS DOES
Nimbus is a full in-app web browser: type a search term or a URL in the address bar and the page opens right inside the app, with a toolbar for Home, reload, forward, copy link, share, and new tab. You can set Nimbus as your device's default browser from Settings, and Home and Search work fully even before you do.
• Multi-tab browsing — open, switch, and close tabs from the Manage Tabs screen; "Close All" clears everything at once.
• Quick Access — one-tap shortcuts to popular sites (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, IMDb, Reddit, Wikipedia, TikTok and more), fully customizable through your browsing.
• Private search — searches you type are sent to DuckDuckGo, a search engine that does not build an ad-tracking profile of you.
• Basic Ad Block — a background protection service you can turn on or off. While it's active you'll see live Ads Blocked and Pop-up Blocked counters plus a protection-duration timer, and a persistent notification confirms it's running. This is a basic, on-device, best-effort filter: it may reduce ads and pop-ups on many sites, but it does not guarantee that every advertisement or tracker is blocked on every website.
• Local history & tabs — your browsing history, open tabs, and Quick Access list are stored on your device. Nimbus does not require an account or sign-in.
• Appearance & accessibility — switch between light, dark, or system theme and adjust text size in Settings.
• 12+ languages — pick your language during setup or anytime in Settings.
YOUR PRIVACY
Nimbus does not ask you to create an account. Your browsing history, tabs, and bookmarks stay on your device. Like most apps, Nimbus uses standard analytics and crash-reporting tools (Google Firebase, and Adjust for install analytics) to understand app performance, catch bugs, and improve stability — these tools may collect device identifiers and app-usage data as described in our Privacy Policy. Nimbus is a browsing tool: it loads the third-party websites you choose to visit, but it does not host, store, or control that content — you're responsible for how you use the sites you open.
