About this app

Understand what English modal verbs mean, how they are formed and how they change the tone of a sentence.

Modal Verbs: English Grammar is a focused, fully offline learning centre with 39 searchable lessons and 234 generated practice questions. Each example produces both a form question and a meaning question, so you practise choosing the right structure and interpreting what the speaker communicates.

Study:

• can, could, may, might, must, should, ought to and would
• ability, permission, possibility, advice, obligation and prohibition
• polite requests, offers, suggestions, preferences and past habits
• must vs have to, mustn't vs don't have to, and can vs be able to
• should, ought to and had better
• be supposed to, be likely to, be bound to, need to and have got to
• used to, be used to and get used to
• modal perfect, passive and continuous forms
• confident deductions, cautious possibilities, regrets and missed opportunities

Every lesson includes an English rule, Turkish support, three complete examples and bilingual answer feedback. Search the native lesson text, filter by category, save favourites and track the best score for each topic. A ten-question mixed review draws from the complete question bank.

The app works without an account or internet connection. Progress and favourites stay only on the device and can be reset at any time. The interface uses selectable native text, scalable controls, screen-reader headings and system-bar-safe layouts.

This is an independent educational resource. It does not represent or certify any school, examination board or public institution. The app contains no advertising.
