The magnetic strips were way better! They were quick, easy, & hassle-free. The app looks sketchy. I don't understand how we are supposed to trust that the QRcode on the water filter that we purchased connects us to the correct app & then correctly verifies that it is genuine. The app doesnt even appear to come from Samsung. Not to mention, I don't want to have to take the time or space on my phone to download ANOTHER app just for a water filter. Then you want access to my precise location! Why?

Confused, laggy, and is it necessary? I've accepted the permissions, rebooted, and the interface is as simple as it should be just for a scan. Doesn't work at all. If it doesn't scan or not, can it at least tell me if it's not authentic too? now I'm second guessing myself if it isn't real and cant really return these once the seal is open. provide a report link too?

To be honest, this seems like an unnecessary step in trying to authenticate a water filter. Also, I'm not really sure why the app needs to know your precise location to verify a water filter. The app is bare bones, does not function smoothly and the image capturing function is extremely finicky. Fun fact you can scan your same water filter that you have five times and then it goes from authentic to non-authentic.
