I've run the simulation and it worked correctly. Most importantly, I added 10 locations I could drive to the morning of and now the cloud cover forecast is updated hourly for all of the locations. Just for fun, I even added locations all over and I found places with cloud cover from 0% (Miramichi New Brunswick) to 100% (Bonavista, Newfoundland). I hope it is accurate 6 hours ahead of time in Texas! Right now it shows 67% to 81% chance of clouds (ugh).

Found a recommendation from an an unrelated website. Basically everything I'd want in an eclipse app and better than I expected. Easy focus on my nearby location selections with Google maps links, basic time details, and direct updates for the latest NOAA cloud forecasts. Well worth the few dollars to support the development. Only improvement would be the ability to sort locations rather than just a list by order added.

The app crapped out about an hour before the eclipse. I didn't have great service where I was. I already paid for the app the night before and synced my location well in advance of the eclipse (in the location I would be viewing it). So why did it need a network connection to operate? It's just a timer based on geolocation. It wouldn't even open during critical moments. I didn't get any notifications until AFTER totality. Made the paid portion of the app nearly useless. I am disappointed.
