About this game

The Fool's Steps is a text-based online RPG set in a dark fantasy world inspired by tarot. Take a step, discover a story, battle an enemy or find your next piece of equipment. Build your character and share the journey with other players.

EXPLORE AND COLLECT
Travel through ten realms, read 1,000 journey stories and hunt for rare loot. Gather resources with axes, pickaxes and shovels, craft equipment at the Workbench and combine item stats with set bonuses to shape your build.

FIND YOUR PEOPLE
Chat with other travelers, join a clan and form parties of up to four players. Trade equipment in player markets, challenge other players in PvP and choose your protection settings with Safe Mode.

FACE THE ABYSSAL GATE
When this rare community event appears, work together to seal the gate. Most other activities pause during the event. Success brings rewards; failure destroys half of every account's carried gold, including offline accounts. Bank gold and Nova are protected. Full rules are explained in the game.

MAKE THE JOURNEY YOURS
Customize your avatar, complete quests, fish and visit the Wishing Well. Marry another traveler and care for a shared animated pixel Home Spirit: feed it, wash it, sing to it and play together.

Play in 13 languages, including English. An internet connection and an Apple or Google account are required. Optional in-app purchases are available.

Read older chat messages without jumping to the bottom. Share exact inventory items with full stats and preview them while typing. Improved Archive sharing, keyboard behavior and profile stats. Hide your clan tag across profiles and chat. Abyssal Gate now awards its final item to eligible players who stay until success; leaving, closing the app or disconnecting forfeits it, while contribution Gold/EXP remain on success. Restored fixed realm chances.
