PLEASE FIX: It has started crashing more than half of the time when I try to open the app. Overall: Super helpful! I really like the app for seeing which birds have been spotted and where. It helps me decide where to bird and I like the links to see more details on the ebird site. For a while, the android version crashed whenever I try to listen to any of the bird sounds, but that got fixed.

I like this app! Cornell should have done something similar years ago. I have been wanting something like this for a long time I think ebird will get more data by having people find places to bird easier I have a few suggestions. 1) I'd love to be able to recenter on my position on the map. 2) Directly going to navigation without going to ebird would be amazing, 3) being able to switch to satellite on the map would be cool but less important. Thanks for making this!

These are great suggestions. Thank you and I'll keep them on the list for a future update. Happy birding!

This app is a terrific tool for a traveling birder. It provides a slick way to find eBird Hotspots along your route. When you touch a Hotspot on the map, you can open the eBird checklist for that location and find out what species have been seen recently. There are other apps with better bird ID features, but the first step is to find good birding places in unfamiliar territory, and this app is invaluable for that feature.
