About this app

The Driving Theory Pass is a crucial step in the process of obtaining a driving license. It evaluates your theoretical knowledge of road rules, safety regulations, and your ability to identify potential hazards on the road. The test comprises two distinct sections:
1. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs):
• This section consists of 50 multiple-choice questions covering a wide range of topics related to road safety.
• These topics encompass:
o Road Rules: Right of way, overtaking, speed limits, lane discipline, and other rules of the road.
o Traffic Signs and Markings: Understanding the meaning and implications of various road signs, markings, and traffic signals.
o Vehicle Safety: Vehicle maintenance, safety features, and how to use them effectively.
o Road Safety: Understanding risks and hazards, vulnerable road users (pedestrians, cyclists), and how to drive safely in different conditions.
o Environmental Awareness: Fuel efficiency, eco-driving techniques, and the impact of driving on the environment.
• Each question has four possible answers, and you must select the correct one.
• You need to answer at least 43 out of 50 questions correctly to pass this section.
2. Hazard Perception Test (HPT):
• This section assesses your ability to anticipate and react to potential hazards while driving.
• You'll watch 14 video clips of real-life driving scenarios.
• In each clip, you are required to click the mouse as soon as you spot a developing hazard.
• The system records your reaction times, and you must identify 44 or more hazards to pass this section.
• Hazards can include:
o Other vehicles: Cars, motorcycles, cyclists, pedestrians
o Road conditions: Slippery surfaces, potholes, debris
o Unexpected events: Sudden braking, pedestrians stepping out, animals crossing the road
