About this app

Stop struggling with flat drawings. ThePrints3D is a user-driven modeling tool that lets you trace, scan, or draw 2D plans to build interactive 3D models you can rotate, explode, inspect, and edit.

Flexible 3D Creation:
- Trace directly over imported floor plans, PDFs, photos, or construction drawings.
- Scan room layouts or prints as a reference to outline walls, doors, and openings.
- Draw layouts from scratch with manual controls and customizable scale settings.

ESTIMATED MATERIAL TAKEOFFS
Generate estimated material lists based on your inputs — including wall framing, plate stock, sheathing, drywall sheets, slab area, roof area, and opening counts. Always verify estimates against local codes and jobsite requirements.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Import 2D plans (PDFs, photos, images) or draw custom layouts from scratch
- Trace walls, openings, and rooms to build interactive 3D structures
- Explode 3D models to inspect framing and interior components
- Organize models by trade with dedicated layers (framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC)
- Measure real-world dimensions and adjust scales directly in the app
- Toggle layers on and off to isolate specific construction systems

BUILT FOR THE TRADES
Whether you are framing, running rough-ins, or walking clients through a visual draft, ThePrints3D gives you full control to turn 2D ideas into 3D visualizations.

From the 3D Learning Family by Mitchell Lorin McKnight — makers of CircuiTry3D and Automotive3D.
