Thereafter is a letterbox, a journal, and a quiet place to meet other readers, built entirely around letters.
Every day, at the hour you choose, a letter arrives from someone called The Writer. You have never met them. But they write like they know you.
Some letters are thoughtful, some are quirky, some arrive as poems. A few are best read with the lights on. All of them are written for moments like yours.
POSTCARDS: You're not the only one reading. Under each day's letter, other readers leave postcards: a few lines about what the letter stirred in them. Read them, keep the ones that speak to you, and write your own. Dress yours with a paper, a border, a stamp, your ink and a wax seal of your own.
Send a postcard by chance, once a day, to one reader picked at random. And pin the postcards you keep into bundles of your own.
Some postcards turn into pen pals. Write to the reader whose words sounded like yours. Keep talking in chat, or trade sealed letters, one a day each way.
PAPER TRAIL: Every card you and another reader answer becomes its own conversation, all drawn together on one map.
