This is THE foundational spriting app.. Everything is pretty straightforward, and I was able to jump directly into drawing Gameboy sprites! It's got every basic tool I need and a pretty intuitive UI combined with a built-in tutorial to get you started. No data collection is *aces*. TBH I would have expected to spend at least a couple of bucks for this and still feel I got a deal, but it's free! I do wish the grid were more visible in darker color swatches, but that's it.

missing a lot of basic drawing app functions. doesn't have layers, pen mode, can't move the canvus with your fingers or zooming in and out. other than that it's a pretty good app.

I use it a lot for touchup work, and the palette feature is especially helpful. There's a few minor gripes I have with the ui but I'm confident they'll get ironed out I'm the upcoming rewrite.
