About this app

Panic Button helps trusted family, care, and work groups notify one another when someone needs attention. Hold the red alert button for two seconds to send a location-aware alert to the active group.

The app supports:

• deliberate two-second hold-to-alert protection against accidental taps;
• last-known location sharing, with a pending state when no fix is ready;
• high-priority notifications and an alarm screen for group recipients;
• one-time manual invite codes and QR invitations;
• per-recipient acknowledgement, so one person can silence their own alarm;
• optional WhatsApp handoff when the sender has shared an E.164 number;
• foreground-only location updates and clear permission readiness warnings.

Panic Button is for trusted groups, not emergency dispatch. It does not place emergency calls, automatically send WhatsApp messages, embed maps, or guarantee that a notification reaches a device.
