About this app

Nobody teaches you how to do laundry. The Wash Guide does, and along the way it works out what kind of washer you already are.

Start with the dose. Tell it what's in the drum: the garment, the shade, the fabric, the load size, whether it's dirty or delicate, whether your water runs hard. It tells you exactly how much detergent to use and at what temperature, for pods, powder, liquid or sheets. Most people overdose their washes; the right dose cleans better, rinses cleaner and quietly saves money every single load.

Dosed from the pack, not from a table. Where we have read a product's own label, the app doses from that: its cap marks, its measuring device, and the figure the maker prints for a drum your size. It never asks for more than the pack does, and it tells you which mark to fill to.

Your laundry room, on your phone. Keep your cupboard in the app and every logged wash counts down what's left, so you know a pack is running out before the morning it actually does. Price your packs and the app works out your true cost per wash.

A catalog that knows your shelves. A detergent archive for twenty-three countries: the United States and Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, and seventeen more, with formats, enzymes and dosing profiles. If you use something we don't stock, add your own in a few seconds.

Learn the craft. Step-by-step stain masterclasses that adapt to the fabric you're treating, a symptom checker for washes gone wrong, a visual glossary of care-label symbols, and plain-English guides to drying, sorting, wash chemistry and looking after the machine itself.

Find out what kind of washer you are. The app reads how you actually wash, never a quiz, and mints your identity: The Eco-Alchemist who wins on Cold, The Stain Slayer who runs toward the mud, The Wash Wizard who never guesses a capful. Climb five tiers per identity and collect the trophies your habits earn.

Run the washing as a household. Share one cupboard, see who's carrying the load, and assign washes to each other with a tap.

Your washing machine, in Home Assistant. The Wash Guide is in the HACS default store. Connect it with a key from the app and your laundry arrives as native entities: the wash board, the cupboard, the machine's next clean. Put a metering plug on the machine and the integration spots every cycle at home, recording how long it ran and the electricity it used. Home Assistant sees all of it for free. MQTT and webhooks work too.

PRO, yours on any phone you sign in on. Recurring wash schedules that post themselves. An assigned wash that follows itself up, so nobody has to be the one who asks. The full savings ledger, in your own currency. Once a month your Wash Coach writes you a recap: one honest observation, one thing to try. The drum's own record, kept for the whole house because everyone's washing wears the same machine: the washes since its last clean, when the next one is due, and what your water and your temperatures are doing to it. Your whole wash history, and the all-time story inside it: your record month and the day it all started. Room for twelve in a household you run. With a metering plug, the app reads the machine back to you: the time a wash has left, a notification when it finishes, what each wash cost, and whether washing cooler saves anything on your machine. Control keys, so a wall panel can put a wash on the board. Everything else above is free.

Private by design. No ads, no tracking for advertising, and the calculator, catalog and learning guides all work without an account. Your wash history syncs to the cloud only if you opt in, and you can delete your account and its data at any time, in the app or at thewashguide.app/delete-account.
