About this app

Th-FDrums Player turns your phone into a sound module for your electronic drum kit — connect your own hardware (USB cable or Bluetooth) and play through a native, ultra-low-latency audio engine.

The app doesn't ship with any ready-made drum kit — build your own by importing recordings, ready-made kits, or pieces from the built-in bank, whichever way you prefer (see below).

AUDIO ENGINE
• Native C++ engine built on Oboe, tuned for minimal latency
• Exclusive audio output mode, bypassing the system mixer
• Automatic output device detection (headphones, USB interface, speaker)

KIT IMPORT
• Import raw recordings (one continuous WAV per piece) — the app detects each hit and builds the kit for you
• Record a piece on the spot with your phone's microphone — liked the sound of an acoustic kit somewhere, capture it right there
• Import ready-made kits in SFZ, DecentSampler (.dspreset) or Hydrogen (.h2drumkit) format — just pick the .zip
• Piece bank: import individual pieces and swap them between different kits
• Export your custom kits as a .zip, ready to re-import or share

REALISTIC HI-HAT
• Automatically detects how many openness stages the imported kit has (2, 3 or more) and smoothly crossfades between neighboring stages based on pedal position — no jump between samples
• Gradual closing: easing the pedal down damps the currently ringing note in real time, not just when it crosses a threshold
• Stages and chick note auto-detected, with manual adjustment available if needed

MIDI MAPPING
• Full General MIDI note mapping, with per-piece overrides
• Add new pieces from the bank on any free note, beyond what the kit ships with
• Cymbal choke via aftertouch
• Live MIDI event log, to calibrate your module

PROFESSIONAL MIXER
• Individual channel per kit piece (not just per category)
• 6-band EQ, compressor, noise gate and reverb per channel
• Master compressor, EQ, reverb and limiter
• Built-in mixing presets, plus your own

MUSIC TRACK & RECORDING
• Play a track alongside the drums, with independent volume — MP3, WAV, AAC/M4A, FLAC, OGG, or AIFF
• Record the final mix (drums + music) and export it

CUSTOMIZATION
• 4 color themes
• Portuguese, English and Spanish
• Works 100% offline day-to-day — the only exception is a one-time check, at install, to confirm it's a legitimate copy; no ads, no account, no data collection

Requires a compatible electronic drum module or MIDI controller (USB or Bluetooth) — the app doesn't generate sound on its own without a connected MIDI input (but the test pads on the home screen let you hear the kit with no MIDI at all).
