About this app

This App makes front-line staff and volunteers more aware of the risks of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning so you can help the people you work with to be more carbon monoxide aware. It’s aimed at staff and volunteers with little or no CO knowledge who support vulnerable people including in their own homes. You will be directed straight to resources and assets across the UK that you can use with the people you work with. Jargon is minimised to make the key CO safety messages understandable and relevant. Working your way through the App, you will know what CO is and how it is formed, how to spot the sources, signs and symptoms of CO, and how to help prevent CO risks through servicing of appliances and installing CO alarms. You will know where to go for help and support for your clients and what to do if you suspect CO may be present in the home of someone you are working with. You will also learn about the resources and training available - all for free - that you can access.
