About this app

The Humie app helps kids aged 3-7 and their parents build emotional literacy (EQ) by integrating reflective practice with popular TV.

Featuring a curated library of kids' favorite titles like Bluey, Octonauts, The Magic School Bus, Gabby's Dollhouse, and many more.

With Humie, watching becomes an interactive experience that allows viewers to practice skills like perspective-taking and emotion labeling through playful activities.

Humie meets families where they are, providing reassurance to parents about their kids' screen time as well as co-watching support.

Developed by Columbia cognitive scientists with funding from the National Science Foundation.
