About this app

ThirdEye is a vehicle number plate scanning app run by Kalimpong District Police, West Bengal Police. It is meant for authorized police personnel only. Accounts are created by your district administrator, so the app cannot be used without one.

Key features

Live camera scanning: point the camera at a vehicle and the registration number is read on your device
State detection from the registration number, with a confidence score for each scan
Scan list showing the plate number, date, time and the district that made the scan
Works without internet: scans are saved on your device first and copied to the cloud when a connection is available
Secure sign-in with role-based access (for example admin or officer)
Stays signed in until you sign out

Privacy and security

The camera is used only while scanning is switched on
Video frames are read on your device and are not recorded, saved or uploaded
Only the recognized plate number and related scan details are kept
The app does not use your microphone, contacts, photos or precise location
No ads, and your data is never sold
