About this app

TSD Masters of Diving turns the boat ride home into the best part of the dive.

Spot a thresher shark at Kimud Shoal. Find a Denise's pygmy seahorse the size of a grain of rice. Log a nudibranch you've never seen before, and watch your dive buddies argue in the comments about whether it was actually a Glossodoris. The app tracks every species you've seen, hands you stamps and rare-find badges, and shows you how your logbook stacks up against divers all over the world.

WHAT YOU GET

Six Masters programs to collect: Malapascua, Sharks, Tropical Fish, Macro, Nudibranchs, and Seahorses. More on the way.

Hundreds of species. Photos, ID tips, where to find them. The cheat sheet you wish you'd had during your Open Water.

A points and stamps system that rewards both effort and rare finds. The diver who logs 200 sergeant majors gets credit. The diver who finally finds a mimic octopus gets a lot more.

Master Keys: the species that define a program. The Thresher. The Mandarin Fish. The Mimic Octopus. Denise's pygmy seahorse. Tick them off and the cap-and-gown is yours.

A personal dive log for every sighting: photo, dive site, conditions, your own notes. Including a "haven't seen it yet" log, for the species you're chasing.

A community layer where divers comment on each other's finds and you can see what people are spotting right now.

WHO IT IS FOR

Recreational and advanced divers. Open Water students who want to learn what they're looking at. Photographers who want to know what's in their frame before they tag the post. Trip planners working out whether it's worth flying twelve hours for a particular fish. (It usually is.)

WHO MADE IT

TSD Masters is built by Thresher Shark Divers in Malapascua, Philippines, home of the dawn dive with thresher sharks at Kimud Shoal. Owned and operated by Philippines Dive and Travel Ltd.

PRICING

The first few levels of every program are free. No ads. No upsells in your face. Higher levels and advanced features come later as paid tiers, because servers cost money and so do the cold beers after a fourth dive. We'll never charge you to log a sighting.

WHERE TO START

Sign up. Pick a program. Log your first sighting. Even if you have been diving exactly once, the app remembers everything from here forward.

Found a bug, missing a species, want to suggest a creature: dive@thresherdivers.com.

See you underwater. Happy bubbles.
Track every marine species you spot. Earn stamps. Join divers worldwide.
