About this app

Thummer protects an unlocked phone at the exact moment it matters: when it leaves your hand.

Phone snatching happens while you're using your phone. It's unlocked, your apps are open, and the thief has everything. Thummer closes that gap.

HOW IT WORKS
Turn Thummer on and rest one thumb on the bubble. Keep it there while you use your phone normally with your other fingers: browse, text, navigate, scroll. The bubble stays out of your way, and you can make it smaller in Settings.

If your thumb leaves the screen, Thummer acts immediately. The screen goes black so nobody can see what you were doing, and Thummer asks for your fingerprint. If it's you, one touch and you're back where you were. If it isn't you, your phone locks itself within five seconds.

A thief can't unlock it. Your fingerprint or PIN is the only way in, and Thummer doesn't accept a replacement touch: once the protected thumb lifts, no other finger can take its place.

THE ALARM (OPTIONAL)
Turn on the alarm, and a locked phone that isn't unlocked within a few seconds starts screaming: full volume, vibrating, flashlight strobing, with a red screen telling whoever is holding it that the phone is locked and alarmed. It keeps going until you unlock it, for up to 10 minutes. Off by default; you choose a 5- or 10-second warning.

WHEN TO USE IT
Turn it on when you're using your phone in a crowded or high-theft area: a busy street, transit, a market, a festival. Turn it off when you lock your phone yourself.

PRACTICE MODE
Practice mode is on by default. It shows you exactly what would happen, including the black screen and the fingerprint check, without actually locking the phone. Turn it off when you're ready for real protection.

WHAT THUMMER NEEDS
• Android 11 or newer
• A fingerprint enrolled on the phone
• Permission to draw over other apps (for the bubble)
• Device admin permission (only to lock the screen, nothing else)

PRIVACY
Thummer has no account, no server, and no analytics. Nothing you do leaves your phone. Your fingerprint is checked by Android itself; Thummer never sees it. The only network use is Google Play handling your subscription.

SUBSCRIPTION
Thummer Premium is $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, and the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Billed through Google Play; cancel anytime in your Play subscriptions. One subscription covers all your Android phones on the same Google account.
