Ironclad Defense is an Android app that reduces accidental touches by displaying a touch shield over the screen when a parent or guardian hands the device to a child after launching a video app.
It helps reduce situations where the screen is accidentally pressed while watching a video, causing playback to stop or the device to switch to a different screen. Parents manually turn the shield on, and it is deactivated by entering a PIN.
Key Features
- Full-screen touch shield
- Slide the small shield button to start the shield
- Start the shield after 5 or 10 seconds
- Unlock with parental PIN
- Video app shortcut
- Volume key control settings while the shield is active
- Quick settings tile support
How to Use
1. Allow the necessary permissions in Ironclad Defense.
2. Launch the desired video app via the Video App Shortcut.
3. Slide the shield button or press the delayed shield button to turn on the touch shield.
4. To deactivate, enter the guided volume key sequence followed by the PIN.
Note
Due to Android security policies, general apps cannot completely block system UI elements such as the Home button, Recent Apps, or the notification bar. Ironclad Defense provides a screen touch protection shield and attempts to return to the last video app when the app is exited.
Ads are displayed only on the app screen viewed by the parent. Ads are not displayed on the protection screen or the PIN entry screen.
Ironclad Defense is not an app affiliated with any specific video service; it is a touch protection tool for parents and guardians.
