About this app

Build your language habit, one short lesson at a time. KokoTrail brings vocabulary, listening and review together in a calm space, with progress saved on your device. All courses are free, and everyday learning needs no sign-in.

Explore 10 course directions, each with 144 lessons across 24 units, checkpoints and a placement session.

MAKE EVERY PRACTICE COUNT
Learn words and sentence patterns through reading, listening, sentence building and typed answers. Put them into context with guided readings and conversations, then revisit what you have learned in review. Resume a paused session and keep separate progress for each course.

Set a daily goal, follow your streak and XP, and choose optional reminders. A cockatoo, tortoise or otter can join your journey, or you can learn without a companion. Reduced motion pauses companion animations.

PREPARE TO LEARN OFFLINE
Download English, Spanish, French and German audio through Google Play, then listen offline. Japanese and Korean use a suitable installed offline Android voice; text remains available if a voice is missing.

Record and replay your own speech locally. Free spoken-word checks run on supported Android devices and languages. Language setup may need a one-time internet connection and a compatible speech provider. Feedback compares recognized words; it does not score pronunciation or use online recognition.

GO FURTHER WITH OPTIONAL PLUS
KokoTrail Plus adds custom practice, saved vocabulary, focused listening and detailed practice insights. Plus requires adult self-confirmation and Google sign-in. Google Play shows prices and terms before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in Google Play; deleting a Plus account does not cancel renewal. All courses and supported spoken-word checks remain free.

KEEP YOUR PROGRESS
Choose from six interface languages: English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Arabic, Russian and Simplified Chinese. Export and restore a progress backup when changing devices. Backup files are not encrypted; keep them safe. Uninstalling removes local data unless you have a backup.

Some course content, translations and audio have not been reviewed by native speakers.
