About this app

MiezePause is a friendly cat pause for doomscrolling.

Choose the apps where you tend to get stuck — such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, X, or your browser. After your selected usage time, a cozy chunky cat appears on the screen. It gently gets in the way, meows once, purrs quietly, and gives you a short moment to pause.

MiezePause is not a harsh blocker. It does not shame, judge, or control you. It does one simple thing: it adds a small, charming pause before “just checking for a minute” turns into endless scrolling.

Built with privacy in mind

MiezePause has no login, no cloud, and no advertising or analytics SDKs. Your settings and stats stay local on your device. The app does not analyze content, read messages, evaluate posts, or automate interactions.

To detect selected apps and show the cat pause, MiezePause needs special Android permissions such as Usage Access and Display over other apps. You decide whether to enable them. Without these permissions, the core feature cannot work reliably.

Important

MiezePause is a behavior-friction app for more mindful pauses. It is not a medical app, therapy, or addiction treatment. It can help you notice doomscrolling earlier — the choice stays with you.
