Tin Roof: White Noise & Sleep

Beacon Light Investments

About this app

Rain on a tin roof. A box fan in the corner. Your own quiet.

Tin Roof is a free sound machine for sleep, focus, and calm — built to play all night, every night. No ads, no account, no subscription. Ever.

🌧 MIX YOUR OWN QUIET
• Sounds across 11 categories: rain & storms, water & ocean, colored noise, fans & household hum, nature, ASMR textures, tones & frequencies, music, and more
• Layer up to 6 sounds and balance each one — most people keep one sound dominant and the rest quiet
• Generated sounds (noise, tones, heartbeat, womb) are created live by the app, so there is no loop to hear

🌙 BUILT FOR ALL NIGHT
• Keeps playing with the screen off, hour after hour
• Sleep timer with a gentle fade-out — it stops without waking you
• "All night" mode, presets from 15 minutes, or any custom length
• Media notification with play/pause and the time remaining
• Works completely offline

👶 FOR BABIES TOO
• Baby mode caps the volume automatically and dims the screen to black
• Womb sounds, heartbeat, shushing, and gentle white noise
• Practical safety guidance built in — written with little ears in mind

🎧 SOUND, EXPLAINED HONESTLY
• Binaural beats and tone presets labeled by their numbers, not by promised effects
• Short, plain-language tips on why people use each sound
• A sleep ramp that glides the beat from relaxed toward deep-sleep pacing over 25 minutes

🔒 YOURS, PRIVATELY
• No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking — nothing you do is sent anywhere
• Everything stays on your phone, and "Delete my data" removes all of it in one tap
• The only network use is downloading optional sound packs you ask for

Free means free. Tin Roof is the sound machine we wanted on our own nightstands — so we built it, and we're leaving it free.

If your phone stops audio overnight to save battery (some manufacturers do), Settings → "Fix background playback" walks you through the one-time fix.
