About this app

With Tchou, track your train in real time and find all the useful information in one place: its location, stops, delays, platform, schedule, and station information. TGV, TER, Intercités, or Transilien: all SNCF trains are on the map.

Whether you're on board, traveling with someone, or waiting for their arrival, simply search for the route to see the train's progress.

But Tchou isn't just for tracking departures and arrivals.

Each train also has its own lounge, open before, during, and after the journey. You can chat with other travelers, report information, ask for help, find a charger, offer to share a taxi upon arrival… or simply pass the time.

No account is required: choose a username and join the lounge. Once the journey is over, the lounge and all its messages disappear.

In eight major cities (Paris and the Île-de-France region, Bordeaux, Lille, Toulouse, Nantes, Montpellier, Rennes, and Nice), Tchou also offers a City mode for public transport. Metro, tram, RER, Transilien, cable car, or river shuttle: find real-time information on vehicles in operation on the map, upcoming departures at each station, and all line information. Each line also has its own chat room, where messages remain visible for 48 hours.

You can switch between cities with a single tap and add your usual lines to "My Lines."

Need to plan a trip? Enter your departure station and destination. Tchou displays only the relevant lines, tells you which ones to take, and where to change. From a station's information page, the "Get directions" option also guides you from your current location.

And if you've crossed paths with someone on a train but haven't dared to speak to them, the "We Crossed Paths" section lets you leave a message using the Rail Passport. Only the line or train, the day, and the time of travel are indicated: no description of the person is published. To recognize themselves, they'll have to find your answers to three private questions. Nothing happens after that without your consent.

Tchou also lets you see upcoming departures near you, check a station's timetable, and save your journeys in your travel journal.

For routes you take regularly, the app can monitor them and alert you to delays, even before you leave.

The schedules and real-time information come from open data from SNCF, Île-de-France Mobilités, and each city's rail network. Tchou is an independent application: it is not affiliated with SNCF, RATP, or any other transport company.
