Tipik is the official mobile application published by the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, in cooperation with the Department of Liturgy of the Orthodox Theological Faculty of the University of Belgrade.
The Tipik is the liturgical constitution of the Orthodox Church that prescribes the order, content and manner of performing divine services throughout the entire church year. It determines how the daily, weekly and annual divine service cycle is served, including holidays, fasts and special liturgical features. The Tipik is the foundation of the divine service order in the Orthodox Church and the basic manual for all who participate in the divine service life.
The free mobile application Tipik serves as a guide to proper divine service, an auxiliary tool for the clergy, monastics and believers in the practice of divine service life.
Features of the mobile application Typik:
• prescribes the order of daily, weekly and annual services,
• explains in detail how to serve holiday, Lenten and everyday services,
• indicates the method of adjusting the service depending on the church calendar,
• contains instructions for the use of service books such as the Octoich, Menaeus, Triodion and Psalter.
The Typik application is primarily intended for:
• clergy and monasticism - as an aid in serving the Holy Liturgy and other services,
• church chanters and readers - as a manual for the correct order of reading and singing of liturgical texts,
• believers - who wish to become better acquainted with the church order and liturgical life.
